On the right end of the stick

She's a maneater

Here is a little something I picked up on one of my last days in Rwanda. You see a lot of weird looking animals out there, but here is the Praying Mantis.

Fact:
Adult females will eat their smaller male conquests after mating….harsh!

Night Bright

I  love the sunshine. Whether it’s just appearing at dawn, or here, as it sets. I have to say, I do prefer the colours that come out at dusk and wish so much that I could paint them. However, my creative streak seems to hit a wall as soon as I try anything with a paintbrush. Maybe this is something I can work on – stay posted.

PS apologies for the little smudge, a small Congolese kid got a bit close to the lens in April!

Goodmorning Sunshine

Chillin in the barrow

The sun has finally landed itself again in Scotland! After not believing it had in fact been scorching in the weeks before my return home, today that glorious globe has me on my knees (and back alternating every half hour) in worship!

Hoping that the beautiful weather keeps up for a while, seems to bring out the best in people, hurrah.

No idea what's going to happen to me when I don't have a tan, I know, I know, vain as anything. But I've been naturally bronzed for over a year (excluding ridiculous white bits). Still, we hopefully don't have to start digging out the fake tan any time soon. Did you know it's the smell men dislike most on a woman after nail varnish?

Here's a link to my terrible tan lines in Rwanda 2009 - crrrrrringe!
